CarrotForNakama ?
No. At least the original plan was to create a theory to prove that Carrot was going to join at the end of Wano. But this theory was proven false by Oda.
I still think that Carrot has a potential to join, but this will be for another theory or a post in the end of this blog. So, I was wrong on my conclusion, BUT the reasonning behind it still stands if we want to see if anyother character has the potential to join the crew.
Let's not forget!
Oda could introduced and make characters join the crew until the end of the story. He has the capacity. Writing a character into the story and making them meaningfull can sometimes take only a few pages.
But there is a problem! The story and the strawhats seems to be on their final lap, so even if it is possible, I will assume for practical reasons that the next Nakama will be recruited shortly and so, we won't predict on character that have not been introduced yet.
Now keep in mind.
My goal is simple: to create a reasonning that will be able to predict the potential of new candidate for a strawhat post. I will therefore analyse and extrapolate on evidences and elements present in the story at this very moment, so I will adopt a methodological approach and developp my reasoning into parts:
First, I will take a look at the definition of Nakama and see if the crew is complete.
Then and because we can't have 200 candidates, I will need to clear off the field with rules that EVERY candidate has to follow to be considered a potential nakama. I call that the 5 GOLDEN RULES.
Finally, we can notice that all the strawhats have common parameters that could be used to sort the characters by likelihood of joining the crew. I think some parameters are more important than others so I'll make a list of those parameters and use a point system to be the fair. I call that the 10 PILLARS OF A STRAWHAT
Concept, concept, concept! During this journey, I will bring you through the deep sea of Storytelling analysis. Therefore, I will have to develop and explain narrative concepts that you might not found online or in refular storytelling books. You will find those all over this blog, Don't forget to check them, they are important to understand the blog.
Remember!
What counts is not what I or the community wants. What really matter is what the story ask for and Oda's choices. After all, what we should all be waiting for, is not to see or expectations be fullfilled, but to be surprised by good storytelling. The story comes FIRST!
Now.. let's begin!
